About the mix
- Kale provides an effective cover in year one for the sweet clover and a feed source in year two
- Where brassicas have been grown previously in the last 7 years the clubroot tolerant Caledonian kale should be substituted
- Keeper kale has excellent leaf to stem ratio giving excellent ground cover
- Sweet clover can be slow to establish but will flourish in year 2
- Bright yellow flowers will be a magnet for insects
