Management

It is an early heading, vigorous specie that will be suitable for mutilple silage cuts throughout the season. First cut should be taken in May and subsequent cuts in 5/6 week intervals to maintain the quality in the forage. Best used within a mixture of complimentary specie.

Additional Info

Traditionally used within cutting mixtures, but it has a longer growing season than most perennial ryegrasses, so it can be a valuable addition in an intensive grazing ley.
